Big suprise party in our humble hostel. The owner was throwing a party for kelly, the 16 year old daughter of a wealthy American who regularly organises charity runs in the region. Needless to say that Kelly was, being 16, embarrassed and grumpy. The cover version of Enrique Iglesias' Hero' performed by the passionate nephew of the owner (also 16 but a lot more atuned to his feelings) didn't help, nor did the Mariachis! Well we loved it and so dod the two Argentinian guys who'd just join us in the otherwise deserted hostel - Valladolid - Mexico
