Hello all,
Well Mendez has landed and she has been dead busy already! I did my duty and got done by a grumpy cab driver who suddenly gave me a beautiful smile when he saw the cash being handed over to him! I soon checked in this lovely little courtyard hotel and set off to discover the area! I'm getting a lot of looks, which is to be expected I guess but I seem to trigger a lot of smiles amongst guards!
And there are a lot of guards around here!
Well at least if I get into trouble they might be on my side ;)
I ate for under a quid in a tiny little place where my phrase book took a leading role and got passed around so everyone could ask me questions! For a minute I felt like a local and could repeat the words vegetable, rice and tea, needless to say that I have already forgotten!! :O
Upon my return I met a New Zealander lady who is staying in the same dorm.
She's already invited me to join her and a friend for diner! She's off on the trans Siberian tomorrow! :O She also showed me this - much cheaper than the hotel - Internet cafe! Hence this very early email! I am also pleased to see it's full of local playing counter strike on line!!! I feel at home!;)
