Subject: Keeping it real in Pleasantville! Or am I? :)

Hey there everybody!
How you all doing? Hope all is well with you!
I have been at my sisters for 2 weeks now and have completely been spoilt with comfy beds, delicious food, transport around town in air-conditioned cars and visits to beautiful sites including the Great Barrier Reef and that's without having to lumber my backpack everywhere with me! No wonder I have extended my stay for an extra week then! ;)
I have not landed in Townsville (Queensland) but in 'Pleasantville' as I call it! Here there are no traffic jams, no people begging on the streets, cinema showings are never fully booked, most women push prams on their way to the local swimming pools or the water park by the strand, others take a leisurely cycle by the river. Here shopping centres smell of donuts and cookies, the roads are like the pavements, incredibly wide and clean, you get greeted by a 'how are yah?' in every shop you walk into and the sun always shines in Pleasantville! I guess it's no surprise my sister settled here! ;)
In a weeks time I should be making my way to Sydney and it's gonna be a bit of a shock to the system! The sun will still be shining there but I'm not sure it's gonna be the same quiet relaxing rhythm they got going down here! ;) Still I am enjoying every minute of it and I am damn lucky to get such a great break a third of a way into my trip! Over 4 months already! I can't believe it!
With visits to Magnetic island and the Reef, I am slowly improving my
diving and snorkelling skills! Just call me Marie-Cousteau Mendez! :)) I shall soon turn into a fish! I swam with a huge turtle at the reef the other day! What a great treat that was as I missed the turtles that apparently hang around at high tide on Tioman Island! Next target is to see a shark: the friendly kind from a good distance that is! :))
I have a feeling it's gonna be good for me to get into the swing of travels again as I caught myself watching 3 American sitcoms back to back last night after watching an American movie!! Well It WAS with Denzel (Washington)!!!! :) Sometimes you can get a little too comfy on a comfy sofa! ;)
No more of this lazy bum attitude soon though! :O! See you all in Sydney. Take care and speak to you very soon! :)
