Subject: The Final Straight!

Hello there people,
Well this could well be the last update I make! Can't believe it! A year ago I was timidly queuing up at the British Airways Check in desk wondering where the hell I would be sleeping in Pekin the next day! I will
be queuing up the BA Check in desk one last time on Tuesday with a bag full of the same old stuff and a head full of fantastic memories! Gulp! :)
I'll track back one last time! Nicaragua where I spent short of 3 weeks was a great way to finish my Central American stint! Not only are the Nicaraguans cute but they also are full of life and wit and the country's landscape is very inspiring (that's when litter doesn't take over mind!)!
Best place has to be the Island of Ometepe where I guess I started to completely wind down from the whole trip! Mind you, following my previous volcano trail I climbed the 2 volcanoes on the Island! A treat, not for my legs but for the eyes!
I have been a wee bit slack though this last month and have left my walking boots in a truck that had given us a lift, I'd already left half of my wardrobe on a washing line in Mexico and a few sharp things I had in my little rucksack got taken at one of my airport searches. Serves me right for keeping my Machete handy! I guess I'm travelling light now! :))
Due to critical bank account figures, I went through Santo Domingo and Puerto Rico without staying trying to ignore what I might be missing! (Like I have grounds for complaining!:) and made straight for Grenada where I am now! Rixter's parents whom I am staying with have been spoiling me rotten. They've have been taking me around the Island showing me sights and introducing me to all the relatives which I reckon adds up to half of the Island! :) I am trying fruits and vegetables I never knew existed (cashew nut fruit, ugly fruit, callaloo to name a few!), picking mangoes at will, and most importantly swimming in white sanded turquoise deserted beaches!! Ya man, da best pleece ti end me trip!:)
Well, only a few more days left of this idylic landscape and I take my last flight! I must admit, I will be glad to hit London next week. Anyone up for a drink on Thursday or Friday night? It has to be done, non? Can't wait to see you all, so don't forget your dancing shoes on everyone! :)
I have no idea what my plan is going to be once I get back (although I have a few ideas...) but frankly I can't say I am worried! Will do one last update from London and then it will be back to normal life for the little Mendez!!
